- How has your own heart deceived you in the past?
- Experience is a good teacher, share a time when you knew God was telling you to make a certain choice and you chose differently? How did that turn out?
- Like question 2, experience is a good teacher, share a time when you did choose what God wanted and how that turned Out?
- Proverbs 16:2 NLT says, “people may be pure in there own eyes but the Lord examines the heart”. How are you wired to make choices? (God, money, family, time) What influences your choices most?
- If you are comfortable enough, talk about the choices you are struggling with right now.
- Do you believe God has my best interest at heart?

In this story, we see that David and Jonathan were soul friends. 1 Samuel 18:1 (ESV) says, “As soon as David had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.” Reflection and Application Who is with you? Who are you with? Where do you need people to be there with you? Where can you be there with people?
