Commonway Kids cares for and ministers to children aged birth to 5th grade. We have classes weekly during our worship services as well as special events throughout the year.
We have a safety-first approach to care for your family’s physical, emotional, and spritual health. All adults working with children are screened and we have safety protocols for our children’s area.
Our goal is to partner with parents and help you be a part of their spiritual development as they get a first look of the person and values of Jesus.
We are a Think Orange church and focus on fostering whole family growth and center on parent/child relationships around faith development.
There are Basic Truths that we focus on at Commonway Kids:
Preschool Ages – 1) God made us. 2) God loves us. 3) Jesus wants to be our friend forever.
Elementary Ages – 1) I need to make the wise choice. 2) I can trust God no matter what. 3) I need to treat others the way I want to be treated.
Each Sunday at Commonway Kids, we break our students up into a few intentional groups (with some additional flexibility for group size).
We believe that every child is uniquely capable. Every child deserves to have meaningful opportunities to experience Jesus and we are committed to caring for special needs at Commonway Church.
When helpful, a Buddy Adult is used to provide direct care and 1 on 1 attention as children participate in their class.
A children’s sensory room (opening Summer 2022) will provide a safe space for children who need to unplug, find calm, and be supported.

Our Kids registration table and facilities are located on the basement level, directly below the main Auditorium and Lobby. Commonway Kids is accessible by stairs, or elevator, each located just off the entrance Lobby.
If you are new or visiting, check in at our registration table (located on the basement level of the Commonway Church building. Our amazing team of volunteers will help you sign in your child and connect you to the right classroom.
Jill DuBois is the Children’s Pastor and oversees the care and attention of all children each week. Numerous loving and trustworthy volunteers, all of which who have been properly trained, provide the hands-on care and education your child receives.
Several safety procedures, including diaper/bathroom protocols and pick up tags, are in place to ensure that the kids are in a secure and caring environment.
No, Commonway Kids is free for all children of parents who attend a Commonway gathering (regular attendees and guests).
We encourage you to share any specific care instructions you have for your child that will enable us to provide better individualized care for them. When dropping off your child, share any specific instructions at the registration table and they will be passed on to the specific Commonway Kids staff member who will be providing attention and care to your child.
It is our sincere desire to be able to partner with you in ministering to your child each week, but we know that the most important ministry most likely occurs at home! We have several tools for you to be able to keep the Sunday conversation going all through the week.
